Fundraising for Battle of Cancer by DJAM Bold Squat team

We are the four members of the Bold Squat squad: Laura, Marielle, Sergio, and Nika. We are brought together by our amazing DJAM community in Barcelona, where every week we get our dose of lifting weights, running, dogs, babies, and cofecitos.

This Saturday, we are doing deadlifts, burpees, snatches, throwing sandbags, and so much more at the Battle of Cancer competition — bringing together our community to collectively raise money for cancer research and to celebrate fitness as one of its powerful tools of prevention.

We set up this fundraiser to spread the word about amazing initiatives supporting those battling cancer, such as Battle of Cancer and CRIS themselves. We want to show how we can fight cancer with movement — both by raising money for this competition and by building healthier and more resilient bodies every day.

We are inspired by every single person who continues to be their strongest self while fighting cancer and continues their process of recovery. This is our small way to give back and to try to match the strength they carry.

This fundraiser is not just about the money — it's about sharing resources, knowledge, and opportunities for what each one of us can do. Contribute as much as you can or want — but spread the word, look into more cancer resources, and take care of yourself and your loved ones.
